Nightlife
Clubs and nightlife
Madrid's landmark venues with their area, their music and their real booking channel — plus the mistake almost everyone makes: booking the wrong night. The official session schedule dictates what time you can go out each day: Saturday's qualifying ends at 17:00 and the venue doesn't close until 20:00.

What to expect each night
The most common mistake isn't picking the wrong venue, it's picking the wrong day. These four nights are not interchangeable: they change what time you can go out, how many people are around and how long it takes to get back.

Thursday 10th
The night with the most leeway: you don't have to wake up early for the circuit. This is when corporate dinners and private sponsor events are concentrated.
That day on track
No track sessions.
The plan for that night
The only night with no return deadline, so it's the one that allows a venue far from your hotel or a session that starts late. If you're only going out once all week and don't fancy fighting Saturday's crowds, this is it.

Friday 11th
You'll be out late coming back from IFEMA. Book dinner from 22:00 onwards and factor in a 40-50 minute trip back to the centre during the exit rush.
That day on track
The plan for that night
You arrive late and tired from the circuit, so distance decides everything: the closer to your hotel, the better. A bad night to cross the whole city or head out of town.

Saturday 12th
The biggest night of the weekend: the circuit crowd mixes with Madrid's regular Saturday crowd. It fills up first and requires the most advance booking.
That day on track
The plan for that night
The night you want locked in before you travel. It's also the only one that makes sense for a big electronic venue: they schedule their headline sessions on Saturdays, and the one out of town only pays off if you already have a car or taxi sorted for the way back.

Sunday 13th
Closing and celebration atmosphere, but shorter: much of the crowd flies out Monday morning. Prioritise places near your hotel.
That day on track
The plan for that night
Half the city flies out on Monday, so Sunday means fewer people and an earlier finish. Prioritise places that actually open on Sundays and leave you a short taxi from your hotel.

Madrid's landmark clubs
These are the venues that come up in any conversation about going out in Madrid, sorted by what actually tells them apart: where they are, what plays inside and how you get in. Every card links to its official site, which is where the night's programme is confirmed.
Teatro Kapital
Madrid's best-known club, and the one that solves going out as a group with different tastes: each floor has its own music, so nobody is stuck with someone else's. Its own site calls it «Madrid's most emblematic nightclub».
- Area
- Atocha 125 · next to the Reina Sofía museum
- Music
- A different style on every floor
- Entry
- Door entry or guest list; VIP tables by phone and WhatsApp
- Days
- Wednesday to Sunday, per their website
LAB theCLUB
A large room on the top floor of Chamartín station, booking international names and running its Space of Sound session on Saturdays. It's the one on this list closest to northern Madrid — the side of the city you come back through from IFEMA.
- Area
- Top floor of Chamartín station · entrance at Agustín de Foxá 40
- Music
- International electronic: techno and house
- Entry
- Advance tickets and VIP areas; contact the venue directly
- Days
- Space of Sound on Saturdays, per their programme
Mondo Disko
Madrid's reference room for techno, and the furthest from the table-and-bottle format: people come for the line-up, not the booth. Their site insists on official channels only, which keeps it out of the usual big-weekend resale.
- Area
- Calle de Barceló 11 · Tribunal
- Music
- Techno and club electronic, since 1999
- Entry
- Tickets via their own site and Resident Advisor
- Days
- Thursdays, Saturdays and eves of public holidays, per their website
Fabrik
Spain's best-known electronic mega-club, with sessions that work like a one-day festival. The detail that decides whether it suits you is the map: it sits outside Madrid proper, so you need a car or taxi both ways.
- Area
- Humanes de Madrid · out of town, to the south-west
- Music
- Electronic mega-club: techno, house and hardstyle
- Entry
- Advance tickets on their site, per event
Teatro Eslava (Joy Eslava)
The historic room in the centre, steps from Sol: a converted theatre alternating concerts with club nights. It's the walk-there-and-walk-back option if you're staying central, which during Grand Prix week is worth more than it sounds.
- Area
- Calle Arenal 11 · Sol
- Music
- Concerts and club nights in an 1871 theatre
- Entry
- Tickets via entradas.com, depending on the event
Before you go
A club's opening days and hours change by season and by private booking. We only publish the ones the venue itself states, and even then it's worth confirming on their site before you go: nobody wants to find a locked door at one in the morning.
How bookings work that week
Three things that don't work in Madrid the way they do elsewhere, and that explain most of the plans that go wrong.
The Metro closes at 01:30
Madrid Metro runs from 06:00 to 01:30. If you go out at night, you rely on taxis, ride-hailing or the night buses (N lines) serving the IFEMA and Valdebebas area. The specific lines are in the getting-around guide, exactly as the organisers publish them.A table is not an entry ticket
In Madrid, most clubs that take reservations work by table with a minimum spend, not by individual entry. The price depends on the day, the area of the venue and the number of people.Booking early decides everything
Grand Prix Saturday competes with the city's regular Saturday. The later you book, the less negotiating room you have on table location and minimum spend.
Official parties and team events
Awaiting official confirmation
There is no official lineup published yet for parties, DJs or team events for the 2027 Spanish Grand Prix.
These events are usually announced two to four weeks in advance, and many aren't even made public: they're invite-only or private guest list. We prefer telling you this rather than publishing a fake lineup that doesn't exist.
Three sources of noise in one day
Your ears cannot tell an engine from a speaker
A night out this week does not arrive on its own: it arrives after an afternoon of engines and, on plenty of days, a concert. That is three sources of loud noise in the same day, and the ear adds them up. What does the damage is not any one peak: it is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, back to back.
In a club, the problem is not only volume either: plugs that cut too much leave you without the music and unable to talk to anyone, which is exactly what you went for. Filtering plugs like the Loop Experience 2 take 17 dB off while keeping the timbre, per their spec sheet, so the conversation survives and so does the set.
